CM1.SYS files for DOS 6.2 hardware install?

I'm trying to install a program that runs an old piece of imaging equipment. It uses 2 serial ports to access the equipment and I have install disks (running MS DOS 6.22). It seems, however, that I am missing two files titled CM1.SYS and CM2.SYS. I gather that these files have something to do with configuring COM1 and COM2 ports. Does anyone know what would be contained in such a file? I suspect it's just a single line or two of code assigning the IRQ but I don't know for sure.
